Most hurricanes occur near the tropics, In late summer. Hurricanes can be found on satellite pictures and can sometimes be predicted. Around 85 hurricanes can occur once a year by NASA.
- Hurricanes that occur in the eastern ocean usually is more active in May 15th to November 30th, going through August or the peak of September.
- The western pacific's hurricane season starts on July 1st through November 30, hurricanes calm down in late August or early September, but storms can occur year round.
- Hurricane season in the South Pacific begins in October 15 to May 15 ending around Late February or early March.
- In the Indian ocean hurricanes brew in the beginning of the spring season of April 1 to December 31 for the North part of the ocean, In the southern part hurricane season begins October 15 and ends in May 31.
